On 31st July 2023, the feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Rachol Seminary Sports Cell organized the traditional iconic football match. The match was played between St. Cecilia Choir members and rest of the members of the seminary. The match had witnessed fierce rivalry in the past years and the spectators hoped for the same this year too. The match began with all guns blazing from both the sides and it was the non-choir members who drew the first blood through Alvito Fernandes but St. Cecilia choir members responded equally by netting the Goal in very next minute through Canjoy Fernandes. But just as the game was approaching the half-time it was Benny Fernandes who scored for the non-choir members. In the second half as St. Cecilia members choir members tried to make a comeback, they were completely outplayed by the non-choir members with two quick goals with both Benny and Alvito adding their brace. With no hope of come back Canjoy Fernades once again scored for the Choir members as a consolation. The game ended with a final score 4-2 in which Benny Fernandes was presented the best player of the match.
