The Catechetical Seminar was organised by the Catechetical Unit of the Rachol Seminary on the 11th of September 2022 at 3 pm in the Seminary auditorium. Catechists from the various Parishes/Chapels where our seminarians go for their Sunday or Weekend ministries participated in this Seminar. The event started by invoking God’s blessings through the prayer service led by Sem. Reuel Fernandes and his team. Sem. Aestrony Costa was the compere for the day who kept the audience glued to the programme. The gathering was warmly welcomed by the Rector of the Patriarchal Seminary of Rachol, Rev. Dr. Aleixo Menezes. The Seminar focused on the ‘Parables’ which brought out the synodal aspects of communion, participation and mission and their application in our day to day life. The discourses on the same were delivered by Sem. Rayan D’souza, Sem. Clifford Fernandes and Sem. Dezil Fernandes. The talks were well researched and delivered, enlightening the audience with the wealth from the Holy Scripture. The cherry on the top were the lively action songs performed by the Sem. Joel and his team who kept the audience on their toes. The artistic theme based decoration was mesmerizing to the eyes, which led people to capture these glimpses in their mobile phones. The President expressed his gratitude to all with a thankful heart and Rev. Fr. Soccoro Colaco, the Animator of the Catechetical Unit recited the concluding prayer at the end of this event.
