The Catechetical Seminar was organised by the Catechetical Unit of the Rachol Seminary on the 10th of September 2023 at 3 pm in the Seminary auditorium. Catechists from various Parishes/Chapels where our seminarians go for their Sunday or Weekend ministries participated in this Seminar. The event started by invoking God’s blessings through the introductory prayer led by Sem. Aaron D’Souza. The Rector of the Patriarchal Seminary of Rachol, Rev. Dr. Donato Rodrigues welcomed the gathering. The compere of the day was Sem. Canjoy Fernandes. The topic of the Seminar was “Iadniki: Apovnnem, Akarnni ani Pattovnni”. The discourses on the same were delivered by 3rd Yr Theology Seminarians namely, Sem. Sheldon D’Souza, Sem. Valfern Barbosa and Sem. Slater Alemao. Moreover, Sem. Benny Fernandes and Sem. Jason Travasso shared their vocation stories which were very inspiring and heart touching. The Santa Cecilia Choir members along with Fr. Mathew Rebello performed a Rapsody titled “Goencheo Mhonneo” which was appreciated by many Catechists. A lovely original action song performed by Sem. Dion and his team kept the audience enthusiastic. To conclude this beautiful session, The President expressed his gratitude to all with a thankful heart. The day concluded with the final prayer led by the Animator of the Catechetical Unit Rev. Fr. Socoro Colaco.
