CATECHETICAL DAY

On the 4^th of February 2024 the Catechetical Unit of Rachol Seminary organised the Annual Catechetical day in the seminary. The catechist and catechism students from 16 parishes and chapels where the seminarians carry out their weekend and Sunday ministry were the participants for the day. The event began with the Eucharistic celebration in the Seminary church which was celebrated by the animator of the Catechetical Unit Fr. Socorro Colaco. After mass the event continued in the seminary auditorium. There was a group activity for children which included action songs, games and a session conducted by the seminarians. Thereafter, began the on and off-stage events. The on-stage events were; dance competition and biblical fashion show while the off-stage events included quiz and wood painting competitions. The children came well prepared and gave their best. The judges of the programme were Maryjane and Maryanne de Souza, Terence Fernandes, Jessica Colaco and Melba Steffi Pereira. Towards the end, the Rector of the seminary Rev. Dr. Donato Rodrigues gave a spiritual message. The coordinator of the day Sem. Valancio Fernandes expressed his gratitude through the vote of thanks and Rev. Fr. Socoro Colaco, the Animator of the Catechetical Unit led the concluding prayer thus drawing the curtains to another successful event in the seminary.
