The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart Jesus was celebrated at the Patriarchal Seminary of Rachol with great devotion. The celebration began in the morning at 6.45 am with a Solemn Eucharistic celebration, being presided over by His Eminence, Cardinal-Elect Most Rev. Filipe Neri Ferrão Archbishop of Goa and Daman. In the light of the readings of the day and the archdiocesan pastoral theme of the year ‘Follow Me’, His Eminence, in his homily exhorted one and all to a life of communion, participation and mission in the church and society. Along with the seminary community, the faithful from the vicinity of the seminary too participated in the Holy Eucharist. In the evening the seminary community devotedly prayed the rosary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
