ltural Activities of Rachol Seminary (LACARS) of the Patriarchal Seminary of Rachol held its second event for the year 2017-2018. This event focused on celebrating the cultural diversity and richness of Goan heritage through the acts of singing (Gavun), playing musical instruments (Vazoun) and dancing (Nachun) and hence the event was called ‘GaVaNa’. The judges for the evening were Fr. Roland, Mr. Frenzie and Ms. Sheena. All three of them have been gifted in talents of playing, dancing and singing respectively. Towards the end of the programme, Mr. Frenzie and Ms. Sheena sang a duo and left the audience enthused. The four houses in the Seminary i.e. Yellow, Red, Green and Blue, put up rich in zeal and talent filled performances that the judges appreciated greatly. Altogether, it was another evening to bring us Goans, and especially those in the Seminary to two realisations; one that we all are so greatly gifted and second that giftedness is in a rich context, and that context is our Goa and our Goan-ness.
